Decoding Carbon explores how policy is used to build a low carbon future. Developed with financial support from Environment and Climate Change Canada, this program aims to empower youth to become informed and active citizens for tackling climate change. Here are some of the objectives of the program.
- Empowers high school students to become informed and active citizens by developing their financial literacy, competencies, innovative mindsets and workplace skills.
- Equips educators in integrating climate change education across multiple subjects.
- Engages youth in demonstrating and applying their learning through creating their own policies and solutions for a low carbon future
- Invites youth to immerse themselves in hands-on learning of climate policy and propose their own climate policy for Canada.
