Give your students an authentic and appetizing experience of renewable energy by entering our Solar Oven Challenge.

1. Register for the Challenge and receive the Teacher's Guide with solar oven construction plans.
2. Build, test and bake with solar ovens.
3. Email photos and descriptions of your students' creations to GreenLearning to enter the Challenge and be eligible to win prizes.
4. See your recipes and photos of your solar ovens showcased at re-energy.ca — GreenLearning's renewable energy website.

Last year, we had entries come in from Grade 3 & 4 classes through to Grade 10 classes. Many of the older students built solar ovens as part of the heat unit in their Science class; other students learned about solar energy as a project in an eco-class or recycling club.
