eCards has been mapped to Ontario and Alberta. Curriculum connections are available on the eCards website for registered GreenLearning teachers. Other provinces are coming soon. Also see the Air Quality curriculum connections which support Air Aware eCards for grades 10 to 12.
How does eCards connect with the curriculum?
- eCards meets curriculum expectations for Grades 7 to 12 Geography, Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts.
- eCards began as a resource to address the Natural Resources Unit of the Grade 7 Geography curriculum in Ontario, but soon became popular among teachers for a range of grades and subject areas across Canada.
- As a structured communications activity, eCards has easy applications in Language and Visual Arts, especially Media Literacy.
- eCards provides an opportunity for cross-curricular and integrated learning.
- As an eLearning activity, eCards increases the role of technology in the classroom.
